Azja jest największym kontynentem na świecie. Sporą jej część zajmuje Rosja, największe państwo na świecie, pod względem terytorialnym, a także Chiny.

Mapy Azji pokazują również wiele wysp na wschodzie kontynentu. Transport w Azji jest dobrze rozwinięty, ale nie jest to główna gałąź jej gospodarki. Bardzo rozwinięta jest również turystyka. Wiele osób przyjeżdża na wakacje głównie do Rosji, Arabii Saudyjskiej, do Indii, Chin, Japonii, na Wyspy Kokosowe czy do Indonezji. Rosja to potężne państwo na północy kontynentu. Zajmuje ponad siedemnaście tysięcy kilometrów kwadratowych. Jest federacją, ze stolicą w Moskwie.

Tam warto zobaczyć Klasztor i cmentarz Nowodziewiczy, Łubiankę przy placu Łubiańskim, Kreml moskiewski, Synagogę Chóralną czy Plac Czerwony. Na nim znajdują się m.in. GUM, Cerkiew Wasyla Błogosławionego czy Mauzoleum Lenina. Wspaniałym miastem jest Sankt Petersburg i białe noce, które sprawiają niesamowite wrażenie. Tego miasta nie da się nie pokochać. Zachwyca, zdumiewa, onieśmiela. Pałac Zimowy to najsłynniejszy zabytek miasta. To budowla barokowa, położona na brzegu Newy. Był wzorowany na francuskim Wersalu.

Drugie co do wielkości państwo w Azji to Chińska Republika Ludowa. To najbardziej zaludniony kraj świata. Warto jednak zwrócić uwagę na fakt, że zabytki Chin są niezwykle interesujące. Najpopularniejszy jest oczywiście Wielki mur Chiński, widzialny nawet z kosmosu. Co jeszcze? Na pewno warto zobaczyć Jaskinie Dziesięciu Tysięcy Buddów, Sobór Świętej Zofii w Harbinie, Świątynię Nieba, Porcelanową Wieżę w Nankinie czy rzeźby skalne w Dazu.

Jest też coś dla miłośników historii i tajemnic, a mianowicie Zakazane Miasto. To dawny pałac cesarski dynastii, znajdujący się w centrum stolicy, czyli Pekinu. W tym mieście warto też zobaczyć Chińskie Muzeum Narodowe, Pekiński Ogród Zoologiczny, Mauzoleum Mao Zedonga, ruiny starszego Pałacu Letniego. Ciekawe są również Pomnik Bohaterów Ludu, Muzeum Wojskowe Chin, Pekiński Park Świata czy grobowce dynastii Ming. Drugim ważnym miastem Chin jest Szanghaj. To największa metropolia tego kraju. Jest centrum finansowym i handlowym w Chinach. Znajduje się tam Muzeum Szanghaju czy Wielki Teatr.

Poza wymienionymi wyżej Rosją i Chinami, Azja ma do zaoferowania znacznie więcej, ale o tym następnym razem.
